Alec Baldwin Baby: Actor Announces Wife Is Pregnant With A Girl
Alec Baldwin and his new wife Hilaria have announced they are expecting a baby girl.
The couple, who married in June 2012 and confirmed Hilaria’s pregnancy in February, revealed the child-to-be’s gender on Thursday’s edition of Extra.
Alec and I are overjoyed that we are going to be welcoming a little girl into our lives,” said 28-year-old Hilaria, who is also a Yoga instructor and lifestyle correspondent for the show.
The forthcoming baby girl will be the couple’s first child together.
Alec, 54, also has a teenage daughter from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
Though Alec is more than overjoyed about adding another female to the Baldwin clan, the 30 Rock star admitted that he and his wife were certain the new child was a boy (so much so that they had already picked out the name “Massimo” for the tyke).
“It’s a lovely name,” Hilaria said during an appearance on the Rachael Ray Show. “I just don’t know. That’s a very big name for a very little baby.”

Besides preparing for the birth of her baby girl, Hilaria is also in the middle of a legal battle with one of her former yoga students who was injured during her class.
The student, Spencer Wolff, reportedly lost his balance while attempting a handstand, smashed through a window, and ripped open his left leg in five places in the January 15 incident.
The suit alleges Mrs. Baldwin put students in a position of “extreme danger” by letting them “exceed a safe and/or maximum allowable number of persons.”
