Alyson Hannigan Stalker Told To Stay Away From Actress

Alyson Hannigan has extended the restraining order against her stalker.

The How I Met Your Mother co-star was granted an extension by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson on Wednesday. The order states that 43-year-old John Hobbs must stay away from Hannigan for the next three years.

According to The Associated Press, Hannigan was not present during the hearing. Hobbs reportedly agreed to the conditions of the restraining order.

In addition to Alyson Hannigan, the stalker must stay away from her husband and her two children. Hobbs must also remain 100 feet from the actress and her family at all times.

TMZ reports that Hannigan started having trouble with Hobbs a few years ago. The stalker, who claims to be desperate to meet the actress, is responsible for sending her several menacing message online. Hobbs has also threatened to kill Hannigan.

The website also states that Alyson Hannigan’s stalker was recently released from a mental hospital. The actress believes the man to be unstable.

The Inquisitr reported last month that Hobbs’ remarks had forced the actress to seek a restraining order. She said in her filing with the court that the stalker had threatened to rape her and take her to the “after life.” Hobbs also made unsettling comments about her family.

After talking to Hobbs and have a look at the man’s personal Facebook account, police felt that the man appeared to be living in an “alternate reality.”

Although she was initially given a temporary restraining order against the New Hampshire resident, a judge agreed that Hobbs should keep away from the actress for at least three years.

Hannigan currently stars as Lily Aldrin on the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Prior to her work on the show, the actress was best known for her roles in American Pie and Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
