Justin Bieber Apologizes To Angry UK Fans
Justin Bieber has apologized to angry fans and parents for arriving late to a recent UK show.
The singer was reportedly two hours late getting to the stage on Monday evening. The concert at the O2 Arena was the first stop on his Believe tour in the UK.
According to E! Online, Justin Bieber’s handlers didn’t offer an explanation as to why he was late to the show. When it became apparent that the singer was running behind schedule, some fans in the audience started booing.
One concertgoer explained:
“I was at the concert and he came out at 10:15 pm and Carly Rae Jepsen finished her set at 9:10 pm. Justin should have been out at 9:30. Everyone was kept waiting not knowing anything. All they did was kept playing Michael Jackson songs. All the fans were getting so annoyed at around 9:50 pm, fans started booing.”
Many fans were forced to leave the concert since it was a school night. As a result, some irritated parents are demanding a refund since Justin Bieber failed to show up on time.
The Telegraph reports that the singer didn’t take the stage until around 10:30 pm. Bieber didn’t finish up until around midnight. This reportedly caused the venue to violate the city’s noise curfew.
One parent told the website that he and his daughter were forced to leave the show early in order to catch a ride home. Although they paid full price for their tickets, he and his daughter were only able to enjoy 25 minutes of the show.
According to the Daily Mail, Justin Bieber took to his Twitter account to apologize for the fiasco at Monday’s show. The singer was quick to point the finger of blame at “technical issues” for his tardiness. Despite the backlash he received, Justin said he was “proud” of last night’s performance.
Bieber said in his apology:
“Tonight we will run on time and look forward to putting on an amazing show for everyone in attendance. My relationship with the media is not always easy but I’m trying. I’m all about the music and the performance and I respect my fans.”
The singer added:
“I never have any intent to upset or let anyone down. And I’m not okay with things being exaggerated. Once again sorry for anyone upset. Now we have a show to do today and I’m gonna focus on the positive and put on a great show tonight here in London.”
