Tiger Woods Barefoot Shot From The Water At The Honda Classic [Video]
Tiger Woods’ barefoot shot from the water is like a secret weapon for winning golf tournaments. The golf champion Tiger Woods went barefoot in the Honda Classic in order to save his game.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Tiger woods was back in the news due to apparently re-uniting with his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. Tiger Woods even went golfing with President Obama, giving the Prez some tips on improving his golf game.
The Examiner explains the circumstances that led to Tiger Woods going barefoot at the Honda Classic:
“Woods reportedly had a rough start in with bogeys on his first and fourth holes, but quickly got back on track with two birdies on the back nine. On the par-fourth sixth, Woods showed what a champion is made of when after he hooked his tee shot into the water, he saved par by taking his shoes off, donning his rain pants and playing out of the water.”
According to Yahoo News, Tiger Woods said he needed to be barefoot with his nine iron in the water to use an “explosion shot” to get himself back in the game:
“It was only half submerged so I could play some sort of explosion shot and get it back in the fairway. I wasn’t trying to advance it very far just get it back on the fairway and give myself some sort of wedge shot in there – which I did and got up and down. It might have been uncomfortable for Woods but his decision to get wet saved his round, particularly when he followed the par with a birdie on the par-three seventh. If I didn’t get that up?and?down, I am looking at a six, three?over, and all of a sudden I flip it, make par there and birdie the next. Could easily have been three and all of a sudden I’m even.”
The Tiger Woods barefoot shot from the water looks to be a difficult one according to the below video. Despite not winning the Honda Classic, do you think Tiger Woods is getting back some of his mojo?
