Jennifer Lawrence Admits To Photoshopping
Jennifer Lawrence admitted she was photoshopped in her new Dior ad campaign. The Silver Linings Playbook actress admitted to the touch ups after seeing the ad campaign for the first time.
Since her admission, Lawrence has gained support on Twitter with fans who appreciate the star confessing her natural beauty had some help from technology.
ABC News reports that Lawrence stated upon seeing the photos:
“Oh, my God, I haven’t seen this. That doesn’t look like me at all. I love Photoshop more than anything in the world. Of course it’s Photoshop, people don’t look like that.”
Dior’s ad campaign involved the Oscar-winning actress modeling the spring ready-to-wear collection by the designer’s Raf Simmons.
Jennifer Lawrence is a fan of the French fashion house. The actress wore the designer’s gowns to the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.
Jennifer Lawrence saw her Dior ad photos on the Oscars red carpet on Sunday. Aside from the ad’s digital alterations, some fashion editors criticized the fashion house’s creative direction.
The photos feature Lawrence with dark, pulled-back hair. She is dressed elegantly and holds the company’s Miss Dior handbags, notes TODAY.
Lawrence is the new face of the company’s handbag campaign, but the face on the ads isn’t immediately recognizable from the one who gave a bubbly acceptance speech at the Academy Awards on Sunday. Jennifer Lawrence’s Oscars dress was a last-minute choice, though it was clear the Dior dress fit her well. She explained to the press room following her Best Actress win:
“I just woke up and tried on the dress, and it fit, thank God! Then I took a shower — that’s what I did. And I got my hair and make-up done. And then I came to the Oscars.”
Do you think Jennifer Lawrence’s Dior ad is too photoshopped?
