Breaking: Rachel McAdams And Michael Sheen Split [Report]
Another day and yet another celebrity couple split. According to US Weekly, this time it’s Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen. The two, although considered an odd pair seemed to work well with each other, but ultimately have decided to call it quits.
McAdams, 34, and Sheen,44, started their romance when meeting at a party in 2010 for Sheen’s Beautiful Boy, and worked together on their film Midnight in Paris, which filmed in the same year. The following year, McAdams and Sheen, who are both pretty private people, took their romance public months after.
Back in January of 2012, Rachel McAdams opened up on her relationship with Sheen, telling The Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine:
“Michael and I didn’t get together while we were filming Midnight in Paris, which I feel strongly about not doing when I’m working. We became quite good friends, which I think is a great way to start.”
When McAdams was promoting her romantic drama The Vow, she had given some insight about what she thinks is the most important thing in a relationship: “You need to trust each other and be able to talk to each other and be best friends.”
Throughout Rachel McAdams’ relationship with Michael Sheen, she seemed to have bonded with his daughter Lily, 14, who’s mother is Underworld’s star Kate Beckinsale. The two seemed to be inseparable, and according to the actress, for the most part they were, having said:
“Michael and I never spend more than three weeks apart — we rack up a lot of air miles — but you have to be quite adaptable in this business whether you are in a relationship or not.”
Previous to her relationship to Michael Sheen, McAdams had a long relationship with The Notebook costar and fellow Canadian Ryan Gosling. Prior to McAdams Sheen dated Beckinsale from 1995 until 2003.
