Boardwalk Empire Adds Ron Livingston To Cast

The HBO series Boardwalk Empire has quite a collection of great actors and memorable characters. The action/drama about the New Jersey town during the prohibition era was recently renewed for its fourth season and a couple new characters are coming on board as well.

Ron Livingston is the latest name to be making the rounds of new actors to be signed on. EW.com reports that Livingston’s character will be a wealthy out-of-town businessman who comes to Atlantic City to take in the sights and have a drink.

While he is in town, he will catch the notice of the town’s brothel owner Gillian Darmody (Gretchen Mol). Digital Spy says that the character’s name will be Roy Phillips, but of course details about what sort of hijinks Mr. Phillips will get into are strictly under wraps.

Ron Livingston is a veteran actor who has apppeared in dozens of movies and television shows. He’s also no rookie when it comes to making appearances on HBO. Livingston had a recurring character role on Sex and the City as one of the many love interests of Carrie Bradshaw.

Livingston has also appeared in HBO‘s political drama Game Change and in the WWII-centric mini-series Band of Brothers. Livingston’s first big break came when he appeared alongside Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau in Swingers. The actor is probably best known for his starring role in the cult hit, Office Space.

Boardwalk Empire is currently in production for its fourth season and will have new episodes on the air later in the fall.

With the number important characters that have been killed off in Boardwalk Empire, what do you think the chances are that Ron Livingston makes it through the season without being killed off?
