Jennifer Lawrence Swears, Gets Bleeped On Oscar Red Carpet

Jennifer Lawrence got bleeped on the Oscar red carpet, letting a swear word slip during a quick on-air conversation with Kristin Chenoweth.

Known for her blunt — and sometimes profane — manner, Lawrence showed that, even at an event as high-class as the Academy Awards, her potty mouth doesn’t go away. This time the Silver Linings Playbook star let loose a swear word that had broadcasters scrambling to bleep her out, Fox News noted.

The two were talking about the Lifetime reality series Dance Moms when Jennifer Lawrence asked Kristin Chenoweth if she liked the show.

Chenoweth responded: “Is the pope Catholic?”

What Jennifer Lawrence said next was bleeped, but it was to the effect of asking where a bear might go to the bathroom … only using much saltier language.

Jennifer Lawrence swearing on the red carpet probably shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise. In an interview with Rolling Stone last year, the actress was frank and didn’t seem to have any problem letting a cuss word or two fly.

Aside from her reputation for speaking her mind, the 22-year-old actress also said she’s not taking the event too seriously, and isn’t campaigning to win the Best Actress award for which she was nominated.

“For my career, I hope, knock on wood, that it happens, but I don’t have a personal interest in it,” she said. “I’m not going to cry myself to sleep if it doesn’t happen, I’m still going to be happy. I’m still going to have my friends and I will be fine. It’s just, will I get promoted or not?”
