Jennifer Lawrence Won’t Lose Sleep Over The Oscars

In just a few hours we will know whether or not we can officially crown Jennifer Lawrence as Best Actress at tonight’s Academy Awards ceremony. Throughout the Oscar season, it’s Lawrence who has won all of the big awards for her turn in Silver Linings Playbook.

However, Lawrence hasn’t escaped from the accusations that she’s really campaigning for the Oscar gold, by making numerous television appearances, notably her SNL appearance that saw her poking fun at her main competition Jessica Chastain, who hasn’t run much of a campaign this season.

On her much talked about Saturday Night Live appearance Lawrence took up to task all of the other women in her category saying: “Jessica Chastain? More like Jessica ain’t winning an Oscar on my watch!”

With that in mind, if you ask Jennifer Lawrence when she isn’t playing it up for an SNL audience, she’s not losing any sleep over the Academy Awards, and doesn’t seem to be all too affected by the prestigious award that may be bestowed upon her during tonight’s ceremony at the Dolby theater.

Jennifer Lawrence told Daily Mirror:

“For my career, I hope, knock on wood, that it happens, but I don’t have a personal interest in it. I’m not going to cry myself to sleep if it doesn’t happen, I’m still going to be happy. I’m still going to have my friends and I will be fine. It’s just, will I get promoted or not?”
