Ace Frehley is facing foreclosure in Upstate New York, with banks saying the former KISS guitarist owes hundreds of thousands of dollars on the Yorktown property.
The claims state that Ace Frehley hasn’t paid the mortgage on the home in nearly two years, and other liens and bills are associated with the property. The New York Post reports:
“The US National Bank Association, which started foreclosure proceedings on Feb. 15, said the makeup-faced ’70s star stopped paying his mortgage in 2011 … The former KISS guitarist, who rock and rolled all night, seems to have hit rock bottom financially. The Yorktown receiver’s office recorded thousands of dollars of tax liens on the property.”
LoHud.com, a Westchester-area paper , reports that Frehley’s foreclosure also includes some unpaid tax bills, saying:
“According to Yorktown records, Jendell Productions bought the home on Nov. 17, 2000, for $650,000. The company then transferred ownership to Frehley in 2004 for no money … Frehley’s house also has almost two years of unpaid taxes, according to the Yorktown tax receiver’s office, which hasn’t received a payment since Dec. 30, 2011. Back taxes include a 2011 lien of $5,131.61 for town and county taxes, as well as $13,425.94 for unpaid 2012 county, school and town taxes.”
According to the local news source , Ace Frehley’s foreclosed upon home is located at 1347 Spring Valley Road, includes a property of 3.01 acres.
The structure is a 2,441-square-foot house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms and has two floors.
