‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 3 Trailer Lands Tonight [Video]
I don’t know about you, but it has been way too long since we got some Game of Thrones news. Happily, I can report that at the very least, we’ll all be getting our first genuine look at the upcoming season three when the trailer debuts on Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight.
The Game of Thrones season two finale aired on June 3, 2012. The season three premiere date is March 31, 2013. That’s almost a full year without Game of Thrones. “What show can possibly keep their audience and this much excitement after nearly a year off the air?” you ask? Clearly, you’ve never seen Game of Thrones.
NerdBastards reports that the trailer will premiere tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live! so tune in to ABC at 11:35pm EST to catch it.
If you miss Kimmel and can wait until tomorrow, the trailer will be posted to the Game of Thrones YouTube channel right after the east coast debut. You can check that out here.
Season three is probably one of the more anticipated seasons for fans of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels. It is said to adapt approximately the first half of the third novel in the series, titled A Storm of Swords, which contains some of the most violent and shocking turns the book series has taken thus far.
Familiar cast members return, and will be joined by newcomers Diana Rigg, Thomas Sangster, and Ciarán Hinds among others.
Here’s the trailer for the Game of Thrones season three trailer because, well, that’s the world we live in now.
