Madonna’s going to have to call in the big guns to deal with her upcoming divorce from Guy Ritchie , and it makes sense with no pre-nup and lots at stake . After the initial shock of divorce news, it’s come to light that Madonna has hired Fiona Shackleton, the lawyer who represented both the Prince of Wales and Sir Paul McCartney (and managed to whittle down Heather Mills’ payout significantly).
Liz Rosenberg, Madonna’s representative, has stated that Madonna and Guy want “respect” while the deal with the sh*tstorm, but “insists that relations between them are still cordial, saying that they expected to agree a divorce settlement without going through the courts.”
With a joint fortune of £300 million, my eyebrow is raised about that last bit.
