Destiny’s Child Michelle Williams Gets Her Own Reality Show
Former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams will be getting her own reality show on Entertainment One Television.
Titled My Sister’s Keeper, the series will follow Williams and her sisters as she works on her new gospel album.
Executive producer Tara Long said, “We’re very excited to expand upon our relationship with Michelle on this new collaboration that will provide fans with a peek into her everyday life.”
Williams added:
“Working together on my new gospel album and television series, I am excited to share with everyone a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration and journey of recording for the album, performing, fun family times and other unforgettable experiences out together with my dear sisters.”
Williams’ upcoming gospel album, which is currently untitled, will be her third gospel album and fourth studio album. Her first album, Heart to Yours, was released in 2002 and was the first solo album for any Destiny’s Child member. The album won a Music of Black Origin (MOBO) award for Best Gospel Act. Her most recent album, Unexpected, was released in 2008.
In addition to singing, Williams has started building an acting career. She made her Broadway debut in Aida in 2002, playing the lead character. Since then, she has appeared in The Color Purple, Chicago, and Fela! She has also appeared in What My Husband Doesn’t Know, which was subsequently turned into a live performance recording.
Williams made her return to singing and performing live when she and Kelly Rowland joined Beyonce for the Super Bowl halftime show on February 3.
