Mila Kunis Still In The Running For ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Role
This is bound to turn a few heads. Mila Kunis isn’t entirely disinterested in taking on the role of naive college student Anastasia Steele for the film adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey.
During a press junket for her film Oz: The Great And Powerful, which sees Kunis playing Theodora, the good, who may or may not turn bad, has hinted that she wouldn’t mind turning bad again for Fifty Shades Of Grey. Originally based on Twilight fan fiction, Fifty Shades Of Grey is an erotic BDSM novel written by E.L. James.
Over the weekend Extra’s Mario Lopez asked Mila Kunis about the rumors that she was to star in Fifty Shades of Grey, or at least rumors concerning her possible involvement. Kunis played coy, but didn’t exactly turn the offer down saying: “I’m not disinterested.”
For months Kunis’ name has been on the short list of actresses to play Anastasia Steele for the film, with Focus Features picking up the rights to the book. Since the short list for both leads was released, the buzz has dissipated quite a bit quiet, with the film seemingly stalled in pre-production. However, perhaps Kunis’ chat will spark up some buzz again, or at least the announcement of a director.
The story sees Anastasia, a college student, under the hypnotizing spell of the hardened, but cool, and slightly dangerous grip of Christian Steele, a smart, young business man, who has a penchant for different taboo fetishes.
Do you think Mila Kunis is right for the Fifty Shades Of Grey role? When we first reported about her possible involvement we noted this film may be too cheesy for Kunis, who usually picks smart projects. What do you think?
