By now it’s known that Lady Gaga has a serious dance injury that has forced her to cancel the rest of her Born This Way Ball tour. According to a statement posed on Lady Gaga’s social networking site, Little Monsters, the singer endured a labral tear to her right hip, and would require immediate surgery and rest.
Gaga hasn’t released any statements about this tear or her surgery. Fans of the singer are left concerned after the usually vocal Lady Gaga has since gone silent since news of her surgery has been released to the public.
According to Gaga’s webmaster who runs a devoted website called Gaga Daily , the singer personally called the webmaster to tell her that she’s in a wheelchair and is on crutches but is okay.
However, if recent video is any indication, Lady Gaga is not okay. A recent Montreal concert was taped, and released. The footage captured shows Lady Gaga screaming in pain during a dance move. After she screams in pain, Gaga doesn’t get up from her kneeling position, and finishes out most of the song on the floor.
It’s admirable to see a performer go all out, and finish a show for the fans. However, her fans being worried about her health, and Gaga resting isn’t too far fetched. The singer is a self-proclaimed workaholic and has been on and off tour for years now, promoting back to back albums.
Earlier when Gaga thought she would only have to postpone three dates, she gave this statement via her Facebook page:
“There’s an unfortunate announcement coming out right now, concerning myself and the Born This Way Ball. Im so sorry. I barely know what to say. I’ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I’ve been praying it would heal. I hid it from my staff, I didn’t want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can’t.
To the fans in Chicago Detroit & Hamilton I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. Im devastated & sad. It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry.”
