Katie Couric’s Mysterious 911 Calls Are Coming From Late Husband’s Phone
Is Katie Couric’s late husband Jay Monahan making ghostly 911 calls from beyond the grave?
The talk show host recently revealed that the NYPD have been receiving mysterious 911 calls from her late husband’s phone. The calls always happen at 2 am, they always happen on Tuesday, and they always freak Katie out.
Couric said that the strange 911 calls have happened about a dozen times. Police can only hear static during the call but they were able to trace them back to Monahan’s old land line phone in Couric’s apartment.
“It’s happened like three times the last three weeks … Every day, every time at 2 a.m. on Tuesday morning. I was out of town the last time it happened and apparently it happened before when nobody was home.”
Couric said that patrol cars come to her house every time one of the strange calls are made in order to investigate. The talk show host eventually called police commissioner Ray Kelly to ask for help.
“So I called Ray Kelly, who I know just through the years seeing at different things. ‘Ray, this is so weird but can you help me? I don’t know what to do.’ “
Kelly said that he’d be investigating the 911 calls. The NYPD believe that there is something wrong with Katie’s phone or that she may be the victim of a prankster. Of course, there’s also the possibility that Couric is being haunted.
