‘The Wolverine’ Trailer Pushed Back To Late March
Excited for your first look at The Wolverine? You’ll have to wait until late March, and you’ll probably have to go see G.I. Joe: Retaliation, as well.
We’ve gotten some pretty cool stills from Hugh Jackman and James Mangold’s upcoming X-Men followup, but we’re going to have to wait just a little while longer for actual footage, reports ComingSoon.
Though The Wolverine hits theaters on July 26, fans were expecting the first trailer to debut with this week’s A Good Day to Die Hard.
Now, CinemaBlend reports that the teaser won’t debut until March 29 with the release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
That’s late March. Aren’t we past the teaser stage and into the full-on trailer stage at this point?
The Wolverine is based on Chris Claremont and Frank Miller’s classic miniseries, and sees Logan on a journey of self-discovery in Japan. In terms of continuity, it will take place after X-Men: The Last Stand instead of X-Men: Origins.
Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee will star in the movie.
Interestingly, director James Mangold has heard the complaints over the delayed trailer release, and said the following on Twitter:
Tell me you think we’re lame after you see the teaser. At least then you will be critiquing images from the film, not a marketing window.

What do you think? Can you be patient until late March when The Wolverine debuts its first teaser trailer?
