Taylor Swift: ‘I Never Yell At Ex-Boyfriends’
Call Taylor Swift what you want, but she never yells or chases after her ex-boyfriends. This is all according to the pop-country singer. During an interview for Elle magazine, the inevitable subject of Swift’s love life came up, an area that she has no shame talking about, or singing about for that matter.
Opening up on how she treats her ex-boyfriends — who in the past rank from Harry Styles, Conor Kennedy, John Mayer, and Jake Gyllenhaal — Swift said:
“I’m sure if I looked up the latest Google Alerts rumor it would say I’m chasing somebody who doesn’t like me as much as I like him – people love that angle on me. They’re like ‘Oh Taylor, coming on too strong again, chasing boys. I never chase boys. They don’t like it!”
Swift who is no stranger to singing about love lost has never really opened up about how she treats these ex-boyfriends after her songs hit the air. The top charter, who opened the Grammys with a performance that may or may not have been for Harry Styles, sang “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and dished on what happens after the romance ends as well as her writing process:
“I don’t think I’ve ever yelled at an ex-boyfriend. Ever. I’m not a yeller. I’m not a fit thrower. If something is done, it’s done. It’s me sitting on my bed feeling pain I didn’t understand, writing a song, and understanding it better. It’s just something I do to feel better.”
