Over the weekend, SEGA confirmed that Gearbox Software’s Aliens: Colonial Marines will launch tomorrow with a Season Pass which offers a discount on four planned DLCs, all of which will be released shortly after launch.
As revealed on SEGA’s blog , the Aliens: Colonial Marines Season Pass will set you back $29.99, which comes out to 2400 Microsoft Points. All four pieces of DLC will be available individually, of course, but picking up a Season Pass can save you around 40 percent.
The first DLC, titled “Bug Hunt,” is expected to release at some point in March. The DLC adds in a new co-operative mode that puts players against waves of increasingly difficult enemies on three all-new maps inspired by environments from the films.
Three more helpings of Aliens: Colonial Marines DLC are planned, and SEGA says that all DLC should be released by this August. Unfortunately, the company didn’t provide any details about what’s in store with the rest.
If you plan on picking the game up on PC, you can go ahead and pre-purchase the Season Pass on Steam right now. SEGA says that it will be available on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live by tomorrow.
The wait for Aliens: Colonial Marines has been a long one for fans, but tomorrow’s release date is now just around the corner. Reviews have yet to go live, so it remains to be seen whether or not all the waiting will be worth it.
