Liberty Ross ‘Keeping Her Head Down’ After Rupert Sanders Divorce
Model Liberty Ross is planning on keeping a low-profile after filing for divorce from Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders in late January.
Though it looked like their marriage would recover after Sanders’ now-infamous cheating scandal with Twilight star Kristen Stewart, Ross filed for divorce just weeks ago, seeking joint custody of the couple’s two children, spousal support, and legal fees. It’s unknown why she ultimately decided to end her 10-year marriage to the up-and-coming director, but she already knows what she’s going to do after the divorce is finalized: Disappear for a little while.
At Alexander Wang’s fashion show in New York City on February 9, Ross told the Associated Press that the key is “keeping her head down” and “listening to her heart.”
Her divorce filing comes a full six months after the Us Weekly story that exposed Sanders’ affair with Stewart, but one source suggests that the split may have been a long time coming.
“She wasn’t very happy, even before all this happened,” the source said of Ross. “Rupert put a lot of pressure on her to change her life for him and they moved to L.A. for him. She was such a big deal in England — a bigger deal than him even.”
So why did it look like they were on the mend a while ago?
“They gave it a shot for the kids, [but] she was just so angry,” another source said. “She’s the kind of person who wouldn’t really ever get over it.”
The decision to end the marriage was apparently a mutual one, while Kristen Stewart ultimately reconciled with Robert Pattinson.
So is Ross moving on to new love? She has reportedly been “spending time” with music exec Jimmy Lovine, but a source says they are “just getting to know each other better.”
Do you think that Liberty Ross made the right move in divorcing Rupert Sanders?
