Katy Perry Taking ‘Girls’ Star Allison Williams To Grammys

For Katy Perry, a Girls night beckons this Sunday at the Grammys. The 28-year-old will be attending the Los Angeles ceremony with Girls star Allison Williams, while boyfriend John Mayer is left behind at home.

Williams confirmed her and gal-pal Perry were heading to the Grammys together during the Friday edition of Anderson Live. She revealed to host Anderson Cooper:

“I am going to the Grammys and Katy Perry is my date. She’s the hottest date. She’s a friend of mine and she’s nominated as she should be. I can’t wait to go. Obviously she’s awesome. She’s the best.”

Perry and her song “Wide Awake” are nominated in the “Best Pop Solo Performance” category, along with Adele (for “Set Fire to the Rain”), Kelly Clarkson (“Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)”), Carly Rae Jepsen (Call Me Maybe), and Rihanna (“Where Have You Been”).

Katy Perry and boyfriend John Mayer have been dating since August 2012, with Mayer talking about his happiness with the relationship in a recent interview.

The songwriter, who has also dated the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, and Jessica Simpson, has been getting a little reflective lately, describing himself as a “jerk” in his past relationships. He told CBS:

“I was just a jerk. It’s very liberating when you finally realize it’s impossible to make everyone like you,” Mayer said, adding, “I wanted everybody to like me. I thought I was one shuck and jive away in every direction.”
