Celine Dion Celebrates Her Twins Turning 8-Years-Old With The Sweetest Family Photo
Celine Dion is celebrating her twin boys turning 8-years-old by sharing a sweet family photo with her fans. The singer took to her official Instagram account on October 23 to post an adorable family photo showing herself and her sons, 8-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy and 17-year-old Rene-Charles, playing around together.
The adorable upload showed Nelson and Eddy both throwing up peace signs while Celine hilariously put up a number eight on a stick over one of her twins’ eyes like a mask.
Dion, who was dressed pretty casually in black leggings, a black top, and red sneakers, also had her hair tied up in a bun as she enjoyed some quality family time with her three sons.
She then shared a very sweet message for her youngest children in the photo’s caption, writing a loving birthday tribute for the twins in both English and her native language French.
“My sweet boys, you are turning 8 today and you make me proud every day,” Dion wrote on the social media site as her boys celebrated their birthday together on October 23. “I love you with all my heart and wish you a very happy birthday!”
Celine, who is French Canadian, then signed off her post by writing, “Mom xx…”
Just last year, Dion revealed that she’d been sleeping in the same bed as her twins every night following the sad death of their father Rene Angelil in January 2016.
Speaking to The Sun in a candid interview, she explained that she has a big bed that she likes to sleep in with her boys so that she knows they’re close until they’re ready to head into their own rooms.
“I got myself a huge, huge, huge bed and I sleep with my twins. They are comforting me a lot. I need them. I need them close,” Celine told the British publication in 2017.
“When it’s time for them to say they want their room, their room’s ready. But we watch a lot of TV together,” she then continued.
Dion also told the site about how she was staying strong for all three of her children, which she said she believes it’s what’s helped them to cope with the death of their father close to two years ago.
“They’re really well because I’m strong,” she told the outlet of how her kids are doing after the passing of Rene, who passed away following a battle with cancer.
Celine added, “I’m sounding pretentious but if I don’t show them the way, they will question it. ‘Papa is not coming back but Papa is in your heart.'”
The “One Heart” singer also explained that she and her kids will kiss a picture of Rene every night before they go to bed and also send balloons up to him.
Celine explained, “Then the kids talk to him. And they write words, put them in balloons and we send the balloons to the sky.”
Her sweet birthday post for her twins come shortly after the Inquisitr shared that Dion had announced that her hugely popular Las Vegas residency shows will be coming to an end in June 2019 after seven years of performances at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
