Ashley Judd hasn’t officially announced her bid a Senate seat yet but she is already the target of a new Super PAC attack ad.
Judd is currently considering running for the U.S. Senate in Kentucky and apparently that’s enough for Karl Rove’s American Crossroads to feel threatened.
The Super PAC ad criticizes Judd for being a loyal Obama follower. The ad labels Judd a “Hollywood liberal,” a “radical” and a follower. The ad also uses a comment about the actress living in Tennessee to cast Judd as an outsider.
The ad states:
“Ashley Judd: An Obama following radical Hollywood liberal who’s right at home here in Tennessee. I mean Kentucky.”
Judd has made several comments in the past about running against Minority Leader Mitch McConnell . Judd hasn’t made a decision yet but it looks like the Republican party, or at least Karl Rove and his American Roads Super PAC, see Judd as a serious contender for the Senate seat.
Judd, who is currently going through a divorce , said that she is still considering running for office but probably won’t make a decision anytime soon.
“I cherish Kentucky, heart and soul, and while I’m very honored by the consideration, we have just finished an election, so let’s focus on coming together to keep moving America’s families, and especially our kids, forward.”
Here’s the new Super Pac ad targeting Ashley Judd.
