Leighton Meester, Adam Brody Dating [Report]
Gossip site scuttlebutt suggests Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are dating.
Meester and Brody dating may not come as such a surprise, as the pair both circulated in the same genre of Hollywood content in recent years.
Us Magazine officially broke the news of Meester and Brody dating, indicating that the pair have hooked up after a previous relationship of Leighton’s went south. The site reports:
“Brody, 33, first landed in the spotlight as lovable comic book geek Seth Cohen on the WB’s hit The O.C. back in the early 2000s. He was most recently linked to director Lorene Scafaria, who wrote Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist, back in [2008] … Gossip Girl actress Meester, meanwhile, previously dated actor Aaron Himelstein, though the 26-year-old parted ways with him over the holidays.”
According to Us, an insider dished on Meester and Brody’s new relationship, saying the pair kept bumping into one another and that dating was the next logical step in the relationship. The mag quotes the showbiz spy as saying:
” ‘They were always close and friendly,’ the insider added, noting that the pair would hang out on occasion during shooting for the film.”
Perez Hilton gushed over the Leighton Meester and Adam Brody potential pairing, having this to say about the alleged new couple:
“We always fantasized about Gossip Girl and The O.C. joining forces, but we had resigned the idea to Tumblr fan-fiction … Pfft! What a silly move on our part! Because clearly anything’s possible these days in the world of wishes!”
“… Just like lil’ Pinocchio, one of ours has come true as sources reveal the two have been dating for weeks now … “
Us says that Meester and Brody have been dating quietly, but headed to Bangkok recently and have been spotted out and about in Los Angeles.
