Courteney Cox Reunion: Friends Get Together On Matthew Perry’s ‘Go On’
A Courteney Cox reunion with Matthew Perry will be as a guest star for the NBC comedy Go On. Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry previously co-stared in the Emmy-winning NBC comedy Friends as TV married couple Monica and Chandler. It will mark the TV land pair’s first small-screen reunion since the long-running Friends ended in 2004 after a long 10 season run.
Courteney Cox is currently busy playing her main busty role in Cougar Town, which recently moved to TBS and airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm. According to CBS News, in Go On, Matthew Perry plays cocky sportscaster Ryan King, who struggles to get his life back on track after losing his wife in a car accident.
The Courteney Cox reunion will occur in an episode set to be released in April of 2013. Courteney Cox will play a potential dating partner for Matthew Perry’s character in Go On.
The Hollywood Reporter says that this Courteney Cox reunion is not the first time that former Friends stars have reunited:
“This marks the latest Friends reunion for Cox, who has also guest starred on Lisa Kudrow’s Showtime adaptation Web Therapy (David Schwimmer has appeared as well). Kudrow, meanwhile, also appeared on an episode of Cougar Town during the comedy’s run on ABC, as did Jennifer Aniston, the latter of whom also guest starred on Cox’s FX comedy, Dirt. (Schwimmer, meanwhile, directed two episodes of Friends spinoff Joey, starring Matt LeBlanc.)”
