Katie Holmes Dating Again? Actress Being Cautious About New Boyfriend

Katie Holmes is (almost) ready to rejoin the dating game.

The actress, who recently got divorced from Tom Cruise, reportedly wants to start dating again. Holmes is worried, however, that she isn’t quite ready to commit to a serious relationship just yet.

A friend of Holmes told Radar Online:

“Katie’s in a dilemma, because she wants to date but is concerned where it could lead to from there … She’s worried that if she commits herself fully to another man, she will have to give up the freedom she’s enjoying so much at the moment. As a single woman, she has no one controlling her nowadays, telling her what to do or who to see and she absolutely loves it!”

The insider did reveal that Holmes misses having a partner and eventually wants to find a new boyfriend / husband. Rumors floated around earlier this year that she was connected to Jake Gyllenhaal by Holmes denied those rumors.

For now it looks like the actress is happy hanging out with her daughter Suri.

The source added:

“She also misses being with someone special to share experiences with and she doesn’t want to be alone for the rest of her life … Katie’s got Suri for the time being, and she is her best friend, but she does eventually want to find a man she can be that close with as well. She’s just a little nervous and cautious about relationships still right now.”

Holmes may not be ready to start dating yet but she also may not have the time. The actress has been busy with a stage play (unfortunately, it closed after the first week), her fashion line Holmes & Yang, and a few new films.

Despite her busy schedule, Holmes is still looking for love.
