New ‘Community’ Trailer Premieres [Video]
A new trailer has premiered for this week’s return of Community to NBC’s Thursday night schedule. You can check out the clip at the foot of the page.
As you would expect, the trailer is incredibly cinematic and shows that Jeff, Shirley, Annie, Britta, Abed, Troy, and Pierce, will still be getting into the same kind of hijinks, even though the series creator, Dan Harmon, has now left the show.
The first episode of the fourth season, History 101, has been written by Andy Bobrow sees every student at Greendale Community College competing in a Hunger Games-style battle in order to settle a dispute over ice-cream.
The clip also shows that Ken Jeong’s Ben Chang will continue to be highly involved in the study group’s activities, Magnitude, who is played by Luke Youngblood, appears to have an identity crisis of sorts, and even abandons his repeated catchphrase, “Pop pop,” and Danny Pudi’s Abed states that it is now time for his character to grow after three and a half years on air.
In November it was also revealed that Chevy Chase would be leaving the show, after he was involved in several disputes with the show’s writers. Chase’s departure wasn’t a shock as he once admitted that he didn’t even find Communityfunny, telling HuffPost UK, “I just sort of hung around because I have three daughters and a wife.”
The fourth season of the critically acclaimed show, which will begin on Thursday February 7 at 8pm, will only consist of 13 episodes.
