Britney Spears In Final Talks For Las Vegas Show

Last month we reported that Britney Spears was in a bidding war between hotels for a Las Vegas contract stint on the strip. Now it appears that Spears is closer to getting what she wants, which is an inked deal in Las Vegas. As talks come to a close PEOPLE has learned that she’s one step closer to getting the coveted deal for her residency in Vegas.

A source close to the negotiations, which have been going on for several months now, says that there have been “advanced talks with Planet Hollywood for a Britney residency.” Initially there were reports that Spears would agree to sign a $200 million deal with Caesars but that deal seems to be dead, as it was never confirmed and then later debunked.

Britney Spears has also been playing around with the idea of revealing her next move to Vegas by using social media to tease her fans. Spears’ pup Hannah has her own Twitter, and one tweet late Sunday read:

“Mommy, are dogs allowed to gamble in vegas? Gonna cash all my bones in for chips.” Spears answered her tweet on her own Twitter saying, “I don’t think so honey #VivaLasVegas.”

Since quitting the X Factor, it seems as if Britney is really moving full steam ahead in her career. Spears is said to be working on her eighth studio album, and now it looks like she’s going to be living in Vegas. Spears isn’t the first recording artist to sign a Vegas deal. Famous deals include Elton John, Celine Dion and Cher.
