‘Charming Guy’ Accused Of Stabbing Rampage In Vancouver
A man described as a “charming guy” is being accused of going on a stabbing rampage in Vancouver.
According to the Leader Post, Jerome Bonneric allegedly attacked random people in the halls of a Vancouver apartment building. Eight people were injured in the attack. Six of those people had to go to the hospital to treat their injuries and one person is currently in critical condition.
Bonneric is now facing four counts of assault with a weapon, four counts of aggravated assault, one count of assaulting a police officer and three counts of common assault.
As officers interviewed his apartment neighbors, his landlords, and his boss at a nearby bakery, they discovered that the 33-year-old man was well liked.
One of his co-workers said that he was a “nice, charming guy.” His boss, Olivier Audibert, said that Bonneric was very good at his job and was well liked by the customers. Audibert said that several customers called the bakery to express the shock at Bonneric’s violent outburst.
Police said that they are investigating to see if drugs or alcohol were involved in the attack. They will also examine possible mental health problems.
SooToday reports that Bonneric will make a court appearance on Monday.
