‘Taco Bell’ Flavored Doritos Coming This Spring

Frito Lay will reportedly roll out “Taco Bell” favored Doritos this spring.

In an attempt to cash in on the popularity of the fast food chain’s Doritos Locos Tacos, the snack company is planning to unleash a new flavor for a limited time this spring. According to The Associated Press, Frito Lay will attempt to bring the taste of Taco Bell to its customers.

Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos have been a big hit for the fast food restaurant. The company has reportedly sold over 300 million of the tacos since they arrived on the menu last March. Now Frito Lay is looking to make even more cash off of the unexpected hit.

In an effort to bring Doritos Locos Tacos to its iconic snack food, Frito Lay will combine Nacho Cheese and taco flavors. The company also stated they intend to blend the taco flavor with its Cool Ranch chips.

According to The Florida-Times Union, Taco Bell CEO Greg Creed confirmed that the company was planning to roll out the Cool Ranch version of its Doritos Locos Tacos during his appearance on CBS This Morning. However, the fast food chain hasn’t announced when fans can expect to find the item on menus in their neck of the woods.

Even Taco Bell’s Super Bowl ad doesn’t make mention of the Cool Ranch combo. However, the pricey spot does announce to viewers that the company is planning to unveil the Cantina Bell Steak Burrito in the very near future.

Given the success both Taco Bell and Frito Lay have enjoyed as of late, it’s not surprising that both companies plan to collaborate on new flavors well into the future.
