Coen Brothers Drama ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ Gets Two New Images [Photo]
Two new images from acclaimed directors Joel and Ethan Coen’s Inside Llewyn Davis have started making the rounds online.
The film reportedly follows a struggling folk singer as he attempts to make a name for himself in the Greenwich Village scene during the 60s. Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, John Goodman, Garrett Hedlund are just a few of the talented individuals involved with the forthcoming film.
According to Cinema Blend, Inside Llewyn Davis is still without distribution. However, the filmmakers recently revealed that the drama could make its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival later this year. The Coens believe the movie should be able to land a distribution deal after its screening.
During his recent interview with the New York Times, Joel Coen said the film doesn’t really have much of a traditional plot. Instead of following a storyline, the movie simply follows a musician named Llewyn Davis as he tries to leave his artistic mark on the world.
Although the Coen brothers might debut the film at the Cannes Film Festival, a handful of industry insiders were recently invited to a special one night screening next month. The West Coat engagement has been set for February 9.
Attached to these invitations was the first official trailer for Inside Llewyn Davis. While those who made the cut were the first to see footage from the film, it didn’t take long for the clip to appear on numerous websites.
The Inquisitr previously reported that film is loosely based on musician Dave Van Ronk’s memoir The Mayor of MacDougal Street. Ronk was among several artists who emerged from the Greenwich Village scene during the 60s.
New images from the film have been included in the gallery below.
