Mark Wahlberg And Denzel Washington Star In New Action Film ‘2 Guns’
Mark Wahlberg sure has had a busy year. When he isn’t reporting the weather for a local news channel, then he seems to be in just about every movie in a theater near you. Although his Broken City film didn’t fair as well as it was expected to Wahlberg seems like he wants to take back the thrown for the action genre.
In his new film 2 Guns, opposite Denzel Washington, he does just that or at least this is what the newly released still leads the moviegoer to believe. The image shows Mark and Denzel side by side in a serious pose with that familiar look of determination on Wahlberg’s face. Maybe this is a precursor to a good 2013?
2 Guns is said to be an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name by Steven Grant. Grant has penned promising graphic novels for D.C. and Marvel as well. In the film, Wahlberg and Washington are said to go undercover as DEA agent and Naval intelligence officer. During this the two plan to steal from a mafia run bank. Of course this is without realizing that they’re being manipulated by the mafia. 2 Guns is out in theaters on August 16.
Another promising film, but is probably further down the pipe for Wahlberg is Ted 2. The first film Ted, was released late last year and is currently the largest grossing R rated comedy. Speaking about Ted 2, Wahlberg told TotalFilm: “We’re shooting Transformers in May, and then I believe we’re gonna do Ted 2 right after. They’re working on it now and we’ve kind of gone through the negotiation process.”
Are you excited to see Mark Wahlberg on the big screen again?
