Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat trick as Real Madrid rolled over Getafe with a final score of 4-0.

Ronaldo’s impressive play was met with another goal by Sergio Ramos, who scored in the 53rd minute of play. Ramos scored after Ricardo Carvalho forced goalkeeper Miguel Moya to fumble the ball on an unnoticed foul.

After his apparent foul, Carvalho said:

“I don’t know if I fouled him or not. It all happened so fast. I jumped and I don’t know if I touched him.”

Ronaldo’s impressive hat trick occurred over an 11-minute span, providing the star soccer player with 21 goals in league play this season. Ronaldo is now eight goals behind Lionel Messi. One of Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals came in the 72nd after he scored a penalty kick into the lower left corner.

Ronaldo has now claimed two hat tricks in league play this season.

The forward’s hat trick was due to his own hard work, which included rarely being substituted throughout the entirety of the game. After being pulled in the last moments of play, Cristiano Ronaldo received a loud standing ovation from the home crowd.

Ronaldo has now passed 300 club goals during his time with Real Madrid.

Real has racked up 43 points from 21 of 38 matches and are now just 4 points behind Athletico.

The win was especially sweet for Real Madrid who had lost to Getafe 2-1 during early season play. Getafe since that win has struggled to maintain its forward momentum.
