Florida School Children Celebrate “Kick A Jew Day”
Students in North Naples, Florida have delved into the history books to revive a once forgotten tradition that was last practiced in Germany in the 1930s: Kick A Jew Day.
Ten North Naples Middle School students kicked a female student who also happened to be Jewish to celebrate the day.
School officials though didn’t condone the celebration, and instead imposed strict penalties on the children involved so they wouldn’t celebrate Kick a Jew Day next year: a one day in-school suspension. Backing up the seriousness in which they took the celebration, the parents of the children were also called.
Going forward, the school said it would focus on bullying protection and teach the children about “respect and kindness.”
