Tom Brady Mansion: Quarterback’s New $20 Million Home Has A Moat
Tom Brady is finished building his mansion, and now the quarterback won’t have to worry about uninvited guests at the $20 million Los Angeles pad — unless they planning on swimming, of course.
The mansion, which was just completed, comes complete with a moat around the exterior, Yahoo! Sports noted. It should be good for keeping out the riff raff or overzealous fans in a most medieval style.
The Tom Brady mansion was described by the Detroit Free Press as a “virtual castle,” with 22,000 square feet and a custom play area for Tom’s kids. He and wife Gisele Bundchen are one of the wealthiest celebrity couples.
To get an idea of just how rich, Tom Brady’s recent $10,000 fine for kicking Ravens safety Ed Reed is the equivalent of one runway show for Gisele, or a little more than a minute of playing time for Tom.
It could just be that Tom Brady wants his mansion to live up to the standard set by another sports legend. The mansion that Wayne Gretzky built (and Lenny Dykstra once owned as well) recently went up for sale, and this one was quite opulent itself. The $15 million home comes complete with an outdoor pizza oven and three separate guest homes, all situated on 6.5 acres in the midst of one of the most exclusive gated communities in the Los Angeles area.
Tom Brady and his mansion will get to spend some quality time together — he’s got all offseason to move in after the Patriots were eliminated in the AFC Championship game last Sunday.
