Darrelle Revis Trade Being Explored By Jets
The Jets may be looking to trade Darrelle Revis.
According to CBS, owner Woody Johnson is exploring trade possibilities for Revis. The three-time All-Pro player will become a free agent after the 2013 season. Johnson said that he wants to “attempt to land value for Revis now, rather than risk losing him” when he becomes a free agent.
The Jets are worried that they won’t be able to extend Revis’ contract at the end of 2013 so they might try to trade him before next season.
According to Pro Football Talk, coach Rex Ryan is against the idea of trading away their best player.
Revis missed most of the 2012 season with an injury but said that he’d be ready for next season. The Jets player said that he was trying not to worry about trade rumors or about what will happen after the 2013 season. For now, he’s just concentrated on football.
Revis said:
“I just think he has to just focus on football. Don’t get into the ‘he-said she-said,’ and listening to outsiders. It’s all about being focused and playing what you love.”
Just finished working out. The knee is feeling pretty good but still have a ways to go. #comeback24

The Jets had an embarrassing 2012 season. The team could never find their offensive stride thanks to constant drama surrounding the quarterback position and with Revis out they weren’t much of a force on defense.
Do you think the New York Jets should trade Darrelle Revis?
