Channing Tatum And Emma Stone May Costar In ‘Dumb & Dumber 2’

Channing Tatum is no stranger in rebooting franchises. Just last year the star changed the trajectory of his career by starring in 21 Jump Street. Now it looks like the see saw that is Dumb & Dumber 2 wants him, and possibly Emma Stone to join veterans Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.

In the past there have been many problems with the sequel to Dumb & Dumber. At first it was a go, and then both Carrey and Daniels backed out. However, for whatever reason it seems to be “on” now with both stars attached. However, there’s one problem that lies within in the new sequel, and it’s the trouble it may have finding their key demographic. The teens of today may not have a clue what Dumb & Dumber is seeing as the film hit theaters way back in, wait for it, 1994.

Warner Bros. is ready to fix that problem as they hope to wrangle Tatum and Stone into the mix. Peter Farrelly, the director of the original film spoke with Reddit yesterday and gave a final update on the film:

“Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are in. And there are a couple of other very juicy roles. I love that guy Channing Tatum and would love to get him in there. Also, there’s an excellent role for a young dumb girl. Emma Stone would knock it out of the park.”

Sounds pretty promising right? As some of you may know, Farrelly just got finished working with Emma Stone on the film Movie 43, so it may work out. That, and we all know how Jim Carrey wants to make sweet, sweet love to Emma Stone from the joke (or completely serious) viral video the comedian put out sometime last year.

The question remains if Channing Tatum is game. His schedule is pretty packed so far, but maybe he will make some room for the Dumb & Dumber 2 film. Thoughts?
