January Jones Isn’t Sure She’ll Be Back For ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’
Mad Men and X-Men: First Class co-star January Jones says she’s not sure she’ll be back for Bryan Singer’s upcoming sequel.
Although Emma Frost was a prominent character in director Matthew Vaughn’s box office hit, the actress stated that she may not return for the follow-up. According to Digital Spy, Jones hasn’t received the call from producers regarding her involvement in the project.
The actress explained to Collider:
“I don’t know that I’m in it, I don’t think Emma’s in this one. Well they haven’t told me if I am (laughs). I wouldn’t put it past them though, I got the scriptfor the first one on the airplane on the way there. It’s called Days of Future Past I think, and I think it’s more about James [McAvoy] and Michael [Fassbender] and then Patrick [Stewart] and Ian [McKellan], and I think it’s gonna go back and forth with those so I don’t think Emma’s in those bits. I don’t know, I really don’t know.”
While January Jones may not return as the scantily-clad Emma Frost in X-Men: Days of Future Past, a number of actors associated with the X-Men universe are reportedly set to return for Bryan Singer’s upcoming superhero flick.
Total Film explains that Hugh Jackman is currently counted among those set to return for the sequel. The Les Miserables star told the website that a large number of characters are supposed to make an appearance in the flick.
Jackman said:
“You wouldn’t have enough room on the page after you’ve listed them all. Every other actor who’s ever put on a superhero uniform will be in it. There’s an element of time travel and, naturally, it will be action-packed.”
Director Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past will hit theaters with or without January Jones on July 18, 2014. Are you disappointed that the actress may not return for the follow-up?
