Taissa Farmiga In Talks To Return To ‘American Horror Story’
Now that American Horror Story’s season 2 is coming to a close, Ryan Murphy has given details about the next season. If you’re hoping it will be a continuation from the asylum season, think again. It’s brand new characters, with the same old faces. However, one old face from season 1 will mostly likely be making a return is Taissa Farmiga.
If you remember, Taissa played the daughter of American Horror Story alum Dylan McDermott, who inevitably fell in love with Tate (Evan Peters). Recently Ryan Murphy dropped details on the upcoming season, telling Entertainment Weekly, that there would be a youthful season after the drab insane asylum.
Apparently with the “female power” theme of the third season, there will be room for Taissa Farmiga. Murphy explained her possible reunion with the show:
“I missed her this season. There wasn’t really a role for her. I feel very protective of her and I didn’t want her to go back into the loony bin—it was too dark. So I thought well ‘I want Taissa to be one of the leads next year.’ I called her up and pitched her the character for the season and she loved it and she said, ‘Yes let’s do it.’ So we’re in negotiations for her to headline season 3.”
It looks pretty promising for Taissa and her fans. Season three will be all about the romance, and Murphy had previously hinted that the Violet/Tate storyline was his favorite.
