Brooklyn Beckham Gets Tryout With Chelsea Youth Team, Could Follow In Dad’s Footsteps
Brooklyn Beckham has a tryout with one of England’s highest-regarded youth teams, and with it a chance to follow in his dad’s footsteps.
The teenage son of David Beckham has a tryout with the London club Chelsea in an under-14 game, sources said. Thought the Brooklyn Beckham tryout was never officially confirmed, pictures of David Beckham play were posted on Twitter this week.
Brooklyn Beckham’s tryout could lead him on a path to the Premier League, NESN reported:
“Top pro teams routinely sign talented young players to their youth academies. The elder Beckham, a former England captain and Manchester United star, is mulling offers from clubs around the world after leaving the Los Angeles Galaxy at the end of a six-year stint in Major League Soccer. When Beckham played in the U.S., Brooklyn was on the Galaxy’s youth team. He still appears on the Galaxy website as a member of their under-14 squad, but the family left Los Angeles last month and returned to England.”

Many British newspapers have reported on the tryout. While Brooklyn Beckham may have a tryout, his dad is still in search of a team, Sports Illustrated noted.
