Aisha Tyler To Guest Star On ‘Hawaii Five-0’
The Talk co-host Aisha Tyler will be guest starring on Hawaii Five-0, CBS has announced.
Tyler’s co-hosts surprised her with a video message from Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Chin Ho Kelly in the police drama set in the Aloha state.
“A little birdy just told me that the fabulous Aisha Tyler is going to be a guest star on our show,” Kim said on last Friday’s show. “Once I heard that, I knew I had to say hello to everybody, and welcome you personally to the show. Here on the island, we welcome our guests with an aloha and a lei.”
The third season of Hawaii Five-0 premiered on September 24, 2012. So far, 60 episodes have aired. Tyler’s guest appearance will air later this season.
As we have previously reported, Hawaii Five-0 made a television first by allowing viewers to choose the ending of an episode in real-time. For the January 14 episode, the team was investigating the death of a professor. His boss, teaching assistant, and a student were suspects, and, after their motives were revealed, viewers could vote on who they wanted the murderer to be. All three endings were available on CBS.com after the broadcast.
This current incarnation of Hawaii Five-0 is a reimagining of the series that aired from 1968 to 1980. Unlike the original series, the modern version uses a zero in the title instead of a the letter “O.” The new Hawaii Five-0 has also recently crossed over with NCIS: Los Angeles.
