Jessica Simpson Expecting A Baby Boy
Jessica Simpson’s daughter, Maxwell Drew, will have a new baby brother in a couple of months.
Simpson, who confirmed that she was pregnant again last month, found out that she’ll be giving birth to a baby boy.
“It’s Jessica’s dream come true, she prayed she was having a boy,” a source close to Simpson told RadarOnline. “What with everything going on in her personal life, and her problems with her father, this has given her something to smile about.”
The source said that Simpson found out this week after a checkup. When the doctor asked if she wanted to know the baby’s sex, she immediately said yes.
“She was so happy that Maxwell is getting a little brother because that’s something she always wanted when she was growing up,” the source said.
Simpson is currently working on a semi-autobiographical comedy on NBC. NBC chairman Ben Silverman said, “We are thrilled to team up with the multitalented Jessica Simpson to bring this new sitcom to life on NBC as she is truly a modern-day Lucy with incredible comedic chops.”
It hasn’t all been good news for the singer, however. She is still estranged from her father, Joe, who has reportedly been linked to gay men while he was still married to Tina Simpson. Even though Joe Simpson is his daughter’s manager, the two are not speaking. Her father will be an executive producer for the new show, but the soon-to-be mother of two will only film scenes when he isn’t there.
“If Jessica had it her way, Joe wouldn’t be involved at all. However, she’s still under contract to be managed by him so there’s nothing else she can do,” a source said.
