Bruce Willis Action Flick ‘Red 2’ Gets A New Trailer [Video]
Bruce Willis is set to destroy a lot of stuff in 2013. Judging from the trailer for the upcoming action flick Red 2, the actor is responsible for more than his fair share of explosions.
Director Robert Schwentke’s Red featured Bruce Willis as a retired CIA agent who finds himself on a government hit list. With the help of his former associates, he unravels a conspiracy to assassinate former employees thought to be a threat to national security.
Director Dean Parisot’s follow-up finds Willis’ character on yet another hit list. This time he’s being hunted by a number of well-armed assassins anxious to claim the bounty on his head.
The official synopsis for the film reads as follows:
“In ‘Red 2,’ the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world-and stay alive in the process.”
In addition to Willis, the sequel also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich, and David Thewlis.
Before he blows up stuff for Dean Parisot, Bruce Willis will reprise his role as John McClane once again in John Moore’s A Good Day to Die Hard. The film, which takes the storied action hero to Russia, opens in theaters on February 14.
