Actress Betty White celebrated her 91st birthday with a photo shoot that included a red-tailed boat from the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
The slimy present was part of Betty White’s campaign for the Lifeline Program, a company that features life-settlement specialists and for which White is a spokeswoman.
White is a longtime supporter and even an ambassador for the Zoo which made her a perfect fit for the photo shoot.
In a statement released following the shoot White writes:
“Jacob the boa constrictor is good as gold and cuddles in my arms. and around my neck.”
White says if anyone wants to give her a birthday present they can simply donation to the Morris Animal Foundation , a nonprofit committed to animal health science. Betty White hopes to raise $10,000 for the nonprofit.
In a Huffington Post blog she writes:
“Animals are near and dear to my heart, and I’ve devoted my life to trying to improve their lives. Since a girl like me already has more than I could hope for, I’m asking fellow animal lovers for a special birthday gift this year.”
I have to hand it to Betty White, she’s braver than I am to have a deadly and powerful snake ready to potentially wrap around her body at 91-years-old.
