Amanda Bynes has come out of semi-seclusion to show off a new piercing.
The eccentric former child star posted a few images to her Tumblr account showing off a new cheek piercing and grinning with eyes obscured by a pair of over-sized sunglasses. Completing her new look, Bynes also showed off bleached-blonde hair.
The 26-year-old former actress has lived in self-imposed exile since moving to New York last fall. Leading up to the move, a string of strange behaviors landed Bynes frequent headlines and media coverage, reports MSN .
A series of automobile-related hiccups led many of her fans to wonder what had caused her public meltdown, and several tabloids reported on other strange behaviors, as well. One claimed that Bynes paraded around a New York tanning salon in the nude, with another claiming that she talked to herself in the mirror at a local gym.
Bynes retaliated to all of her negative press, telling Us Weekly that she’s going to sue the tabloid for “printing a fake story.”
“I’m not ‘troubled.’ I don’t get naked in public,” she added. “I’m 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy.”
Bynes has also quit Twitter, asking her fans to migrate to her Tumblr account instead.
