Kelly Osbourne Gets Death Threats From Lady Gaga’s Fans For Being ‘Fat’
Lady Gaga is known for being a beacon of light in the anti bullying campaign, but it seems like there’s one person who isn’t benefiting from it and that’s Kelly Osbourne. The Fashion Police host, who has struggled with her weight and image in the past, told Fabulous UK that she’s being bullied by the singer’s fan base.
Citing that not only is she getting bullied by Lady Gaga’s fans but “they’re the worst.” Osbourne continued, “They’ve said I should kill myself, that they hope I get raped. I mean it’s crazy, but I’ve had this all my life and I just try and ignore it.”
While there’s no reason for someone to ever have to deal with harsh and threatening comments, especially comments that deter one’s self-esteem, Osbourne has probably unintentionally started an internet war with Gaga’s “passionate” fans. The Fashion Police host, is known to be the tamer judge while commentating about the style of celebrities, as opposed to say, Joan Rivers. However, Osbourne admits she might have taken a stab at critiquing Gaga’s eccentric outfits on the show. Osbourne said, “I have no filter. I say what I think and that’s it.” But, says Kelly, Gaga has a duty to “muzzle her ‘Monsters.”
However, there’s no hard feelings for Lady Gaga, as Osbourne doesn’t take her fans’ attack all too seriously. She even complimented the singer, “I actually think she’s a good singer but she has the worst fans in the world,” Osbourne says, “and you have a responsibility to stop that. I think you do anyway,” said Osbourne.
That’s not the only weight struggle Osbourne has had to deal with. Earlier in the week, Kelly said that she’s constantly shamed and called fat for being a size 4 in the industry. Osbourne weighed in on the original criticism:
“I’m the thinnest I’ve ever been and the healthiest I’ve ever been. The totally insane thing is that I’m a UK size 4 to 6 and people still say I’m fat. I mean it’s crazy but I’ve had this all my life and I just try and ignore it.”
