Harry Styles is seen on a video in tears over the hateful reactions to his performance in the band One Direction, painting the “bad boy” singer in a more sensitive light.

The video actually was released in November as part of iTV’s One Direction: Year In The Making special,but it’s been trending on Twitter and Tumblr in recent days, The Huffington Post found. In the video, Harry Styles gets choked up talking about that hate he received after a performance fumble with One Direction.

The Harry Styles crying video could be popular again because of the boy band singer’s appearance on New Year’s Eve. He showed up in Times Square after Taylor Swift performed a medley of hits during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest.

The 23-year-old Taylor Swift stuck around after her performance to watch the ball drop in Times Square and was joined by her 18-year-old boyfriend Harry Styles. They were seen embracing as the iconic songs “Auld Lang Syne” and “New York, New York” played and shared a kiss as midnight struck.

Harry Styles and Taylor Swift have been spending a lot of time together, taking a ski trip over the Christmas holiday with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. Prior to that, Taylor visited Harry in England and met his family.

The couple has grown very close very quickly, sparking some rumors that they may elope.

“I can see them getting married in a week, just going for it,” an insider told Us Weekly of the now famous couple.
