Hugh Hefner married Crystal Harris on New Year’s Eve, 18 months after the couple went on hiatus during a very public breakup.
The 86-year-old Hefner and his 26-year-old wife wed at the Playboy Mansion. The couple walked down the aisle at 7 pm in front of a small group that included family and friends. The couple in June 2011 had planned to throw a massive wedding that would have included many more guests.
Crystal moved back into the Playboy Mansion earlier this year after she reconciled with her much older husband.
Monday’s wedding was the first for Crystal Harris and the third for Hugh Hefner.
While the couple wed in a private ceremony, the wedding was to be followed by the annual NYE bash at the Playboy Mansion.
Before the wedding, Crystal Harris tweeted:
“Today is the day I become Mrs. Hugh Hefner. Feeling very happy, lucky, and blessed.”
Before her wedding even commenced, she changed her Twitter name to “Crystal Hefner.”
The couple originally seemed doomed to never speak again after Crystal Harris attacked Hugh Hefner on the Howard Stern show and via Twitter. Later Harris sold her 3.39-carat circular-cut diamond ring for an estimated $90,000.
In early December 2012, Harris showed off her new engagement ring and seemed excited to finally be tying the knot with Hefner.
