During the relaunch of The Cove Atlantis on Paradise Island, the Bahamas, Coveteur and other invited press took the opportunity to see Fergie perform and had a little conversation on how she’s doing after her highly talked about split with now-ex Josh Duhamel.
The M.I.L.F singer and former Black Eyed Peas female vocalist looked fine as she danced barefoot for the star-studded event. There wasn’t a sign of heartache lingering on her face. She remained enthusiastic and even entertained some press people in a private cabana to talk about a new album, wellness regimen, and the changes in her working lifestyle as a mom.
On her new album, Double Dutchess, the talented artist revealed it was the biggest project she ever took on in her life and the finished product was really worth it and very rewarding. People were coming up to her just to say how her new songs helped them move on from their own heartbreaks.
The 42-year-old singer also noted that the reaction to her album truly delivered on its purpose.
“[The song is] about overcoming those tough times and getting through it—finding it within oneself to become that warrior.”
Now that she is already a mom, her life made a full swing. She had to make changes to her schedule and blackout the weekends to attend to her son and just be a mom. However, that doesn’t mean she has to stop and put her career on hold. She is making sure there’s a balance in everything she does.
“I’m a mom now, which makes a complete difference in my schedule. I’m the same person I’ve always been as an artist—I write the same, I perform the same—it’s just the hours that I have in a day [are different].”
Meanwhile, people are curious about how is she doing after her high profile breakup with Josh Duhamel. It seems that it wasn’t bothering her at all. She even shared a throwback photo of them together as a couple last Halloween.
While all ears were set on everything she had to say, she revealed that she counts on meditation, stretching, and even went for hypnosis to keep her mind in check. Yes, Fergie noted that she has been doing workouts consistently to keep her limbs healthy and follows the 21-day Oprah & Deepak meditations.
“I have a therapist as well, and I do some hypnosis sometimes—whenever I get the chance.”
