Justin Verlander and Kate Upton Married – First Wedding Photo Revealed
It was a whirlwind of a week for Justin Verlander, as he won his first World Series ring with the Houston Astros and then headed off to Italy to marry Kate Upton. They are officially husband and wife, as the couple celebrated their wedding ceremony on Nov. 4, and now Kate Upton shared the first wedding photo of the happy couple.
After winning the World Series with the Astros, Verlander, 34, jetted off to Italy to marry his fiancee, Kate Upton, 25. They were wed in front of family and friends in what looks like a beautiful ceremony in Tuscany. Both of the celebrities have been quiet on social media, but they both took to their Instagram accounts today and shared the same photo.
For Kate, she captioned the photo that she felt so lucky to marry her best friend. She went on to thank her family and friends for helping them make the weekend so “fun and magical.” Verlander shared the same photo as Upton, and he captured his photo with, “Happy wife happy life!” He talked about the journey just beginning for them. With a championship ring on his hand and a wife by his side, does that mean Verlander will retire from baseball and enjoy life with his wife now?
Time will tell, but you can see from the photo above, they are very much in love. The lavish wedding took place at the Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco resort in Italy. Upton was a stunning bride, as she wore a beautiful and classic long-sleeved lace white Valentino gown with a long white veil. She also carried a bouquet of peach, light pink and ivory flowers.
The happy couple first met in 2012, as Upton shot a commercial for MLB 2K12. They became friends after that first meeting, but reunited in 2014 and that is when things took a romantic twist for the couple. They dated for two years before Justin popped the big question in 2016. They revealed the engagement news at the Met Gala, where Kate showed off the big ring.
Congratulations to Justin Verlander and Kate Upton on their big day. What do you think of the first wedding photo for the couple?
